The short version. MeetingBurn sets no cookies and loads nothing from third parties. The calculator runs in your browser, and nothing is sent to us while you type. When a timer finishes we record the shape of that session, including the salary figure you used, with nothing attached that identifies you. If you join the waitlist we keep your email address until we launch or you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first.
MeetingBurn is operated by CGI Web Services, Isle of Man. For anything on this page, or to have your data removed, email hello@cgiweb.im and we will action it within seven days.
The attendee count, salary and duration you enter are used in your browser to work out a running cost. Those exact figures are never sent to us while you type.
When a timer finishes, the app records the shape of that session so we can see whether the tool is being used: number of attendees, the average salary figure, the planned and actual durations, the total cost, and whether it was shared. It is not linked to you, your browser or your email address, and there is nothing in it that identifies a person or an employer.
We use it for one thing: telling you when MeetingBurn opens. We do not sell it, rent it, share it, or add it to any other mailing list. Every message we send will have a way to get off the list, and asking us directly works too.
Like every website, our server records requests. For a handful of events, such as opening the calculator or joining the waitlist, the application also stores your IP address and browser user-agent string alongside the event. That is there to catch automated abuse of the signup form, not to profile you, and it is not combined with anything else to build a picture of an individual.
The waitlist form is protected by ALTCHA, a self-hosted proof-of-work check. It runs on our own server, sets no cookies, and reports nothing to anyone else.
None. The site sets no cookies of any kind, and stores nothing in your browser between visits. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, no session tracking and no embedded third-party content. That is also why you are not being asked to click a cookie banner.
Our server is in London, United Kingdom, hosted by IONOS, and that is where the database lives.
One transfer to be straight about: when someone joins the waitlist, our server sends us a notification containing that email address, and our own mailbox is hosted by Google. So a waitlist address reaches Google infrastructure, which may process it outside the UK. The same applies to any message you send us by email.
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@cgiweb.im. There is no charge and we do not need a reason. If you are unhappy with how we have handled a request, you can complain to the Isle of Man Information Commissioner, or to the ICO if you are in the UK.
If this policy changes materially and you are on the waitlist, we will tell you by email rather than quietly editing this page.
