How the number is worked out

No guessing and no proprietary formula. An annual salary is divided by 2,080 working hours, which is 40 hours a week for 52 weeks. That gives an hourly rate. Multiply by the number of people in the room, divide by 3,600, and you have the cost of one second.

The board counts those seconds. It does not stop when the meeting was scheduled to end, because meetings do not either. Past that point the status reads delayed and the digits turn red.

Annual salary$120,000
Divided by 2,080 hours$57.69 / hr
Times 8 people$461.54 / hr
A 30 minute meeting$230.77
Running 12 minutes over$323.08

Show it to the people who were there

A number nobody sees changes nothing. When the board stops, take the reading with you.

Nothing you type is sent while you type. When a board stops, the shape of that session is recorded with nothing attached that identifies you. What is stored.

The board is free and stays free. The paid tiers are not built yet, so they are a waitlist and nothing more.
